The task of producing a dramatic contemporary glazed extension at the rear of a traditional property led us to install a 2.65 metre tall moving corner comprised of 2 sets of RS130 lift and slide doors.
A moving corner uses a floating corner post attached to one of the sets of doors so that when both sets of doors are opened, there is an unobstructed view out, with no structural corner post.
The doors were manufactured to take up much of the elevations – 7.5 metres in one direction and 6 metres in the other. The end result is a beautiful social area that can open up to bring light and air in and connect to the stunning mature garden.
The contrast of the sleek modern extension against a traditional Georgian property works superbly well.
