We all want our homes to reflect our personalities and to have features that visually stand out. These “finishing touches” are often more design than functionally driven, but can also have the benefit of bringing the maximum amount of light into the house.

Fixed and shaped windows are often used on a project to create dramatic visual focal points, to complement and emphasise the contours of the house, or to improve the look and feel of a particular room or area.

Fixed glazing can offer full height glass or glazed facades much larger than traditional windows or even panoramic sliding doors can offer. In doing so, they introduce more light into a room and create areas where homeowners will love to spend time.

Whether spanning ground and first floor areas, or following the gables or rooflines on a property, fixed glazing can make a dramatic difference – bringing a feeling of height and light.

Shaped windows are often used in a similar way to shaped fixed glazing, but can incorporate openable sashes within them. Frequently used in rooms where the use of space is at a premium, shaped windows can turn functional into fantastic!
